Litera Meat is the first slaughterhouse promoted by the Pini Group in Spain and started its activity in late 2019. Since Litera Meat started operating, its business activities have speeded up, establishing important trade agreements and consolidating its operations in a territory where the agri-food industry is a strategic sector. This increment in business activity was in line with a progressive increase in manpower, totalling over 1,600 direct employees working in the various departments.

Thanks to the international and recognized reputation of the Pini Group, Litera Meat has a strong orientation to exports and has close trade relationships with important international brands.

Litera Meat has built in record time an extremely strong commercial network, projecting its brand name to the most significant meat markets and reaching five continents: Asia, America, Africa, Oceania and Europe.

We daily work to be a reference within the meat industry, both domestically and internationally. Moreover, we are committed to making decisions on a socially responsible way to help improve and enhance our environment and build long-term, stable relations with our stakeholders.

QUALITY


Litera Meat has a certified internal laboratory with ISO/ IEC 17025 certification in microbiological controls. It is divided into several areas: an in-house laboratory to analyse trichinella, a trichinoscopy area, a microbiology laboratory, a water analysis laboratory and its corresponding waste area.

The team is responsible for assessing and documenting efficiency, safety and quality during the different processes.
