Early this morning of 4th May, Litera Meat has received the results of the last PCR tests done on employees who were diagnosed seropositive after the quick tests. Out of the employees tested last Wednesday 29th April and Saturday 2nd May, 2 new COVID-19 positive cases are added up. Thus, after receiving the results of the PCR tests of a total of 284 employees, only 15 cases have proved positive.
In a previous official communication issued by Litera Meat, approximately 2% of the 931 employees tested were expected to be infected. However, after receiving all the results of the PCR tests carried out, the tendency drops to 1.6% of positive cases.
Litera Meat works in tandem with the sanitary authorities and will continue to do further serologic and/or PCR tests to keep the situation under control at all moments. Amidst this global sanitary crisis, Litera Meat acts with commitment and responsibility. In line with this, a new internal training programme on COVID-19 is started up for all personnel.
